Vehicle operations are a key area of risk for many organizations. Research suggests that 80-95% of all vehicle crashes are related to human factors. Evidence is increasingly suggesting that even though vehicle performance, design and intrinsic safety continue to improve, it is typically driver behaviour that is the critical factor most road accidents.
The Safe Driver Training Program focuses on driver awareness, incorporating hazard and risk identification through proactive vision and modification of driving behaviour, through sound perception and analysis of the on-road risks. This course will assist in identifying and changing personal attitudes, individual and group behaviours as well as organized culture.
The Defensive Driving Four Wheel Drive Program
Operating in an off-road environment can be much more of a high risk activity than normal driving, especially in the case of the vehicle becoming immobilised. This course teaches personnel who are required to drive in an off-road environment how to operate the vehicle safely, and recover the vehicle should the need arise.
The Objectives of the Course
The SafeDrive 4X4 Defensive Driving Course has been designed for all drivers required to operate 4X4 vehicles either on or off road. The course covers a wealth of information which is essential for vehicle operators and managers to successfully conduct land transport operations under these harsh conditions.
